This is an interesting video is which KWS talks about his methodology when he is writing songs for a new album.
Most interesting to me was his comment about the “SINGLE MENTALITY” which has certainly become a large shift in music sales over the past few years.
I admit… I am as guilty as most of you when it comes to buying “only the hit single for .99 cents” instead of buying the entire CD for $9.99 on iTunes or EMusic.
What do you think? Do you typically download only the song you want, a few tracks from an album, or do you want to hear the “entire story” that the artist created with the album release and download the entire album?
