About Me

My friends call me GuitarDaddy. Sometimes they call me AZGuitarDaddy, because I live in Arizona. Either way, it’s still me and I love guitars.

TheGuitarBuzz.com is my hobby, my passion and definitely a labor of love. Writing for the “Buzz” allows me to communicate what I feel is important, relevant and current regarding the greatest instrument ever invented — the GUITAR.

I love to play blues and smooth jazz and have 8,600 guitar songs on my iPod. 27 days in Apple-Speak. How I long for a full month off!

I also buy, sell, trade and swap guitars. Over the last year, about 25 have passed through my hands. I sell guitars I have hardly played and buy guitars I do not need.  I have a wonderful wife who puts up with this madness.  I wish I still had some of the axes I have sold and can’t wait to open the box on the one I just bought.

Feel free to email me at: DJ@GuitarDaddy.com.

    Heya GuitarDaddy,
I ran across your site while Googling the GP Magazine Guitar Superstar contest (in which I’m a finalist). Man, I’ve been here now for like three hours watching all the videos and reading your content – what a collection of great stuff man! You definitely just became one of my regular stops on the web…

Just wanted to commend you on a great site. Cheers!

    Hey Guitar Daddy,

Thanks for the shout out…just a few hours away from the Hendrix Concert!

    The Kenny Wayne You Tube
Voodoo Chile rendition was a nice taste of things to come.

This month’s Guitar World magazine has an article on Hendrix’s “lost year” as well as one on Satriani and the Hendrix tribute concert…the article is titled “Hey Joe.”

Hi Daddy, Greetings from the UK. Can you help? I’ve just been watching Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live at Madison Square gardens and was intrigued by a guitar that Steve played. It looked like an all black Tele Thinline but I can’t find it on the Fender website catalogue…..any ideas? Could it be a JA-90? It had all the Fender livery on the headstock….

This is unusual for me as I am a dyed in the wool Gibson man (I have a ’72 SG Pro – and had it from new). Unlike you I can’t let my babies go!

    All the best, buddy.

    Hey Guitar Daddy,
thank you so much for your light in the dark :-)
It was and, off corse, is a great source to guitar music. Comming from Germany, lease allow me to recomment an exellent upcomming bluesguitar player to you: Henrik Freischlader! He a great guy and, as said before, great guitarlover. He is selfaducted, focused on good sound, great songs and can be located (if this is possible) in the Joe Bonamassa corner.
Here, he is playing a solo with the band of Joe

    All my best
    Armin
